Kim has been working in the environmental and education fields for almost three decades. She has worked for small nonprofits and some of the biggest international environmental organizations (Greenpeace).

Currently, Kim is a Climate Specialist with the Halifax Regional Municipality, the Coordinator of Music Declares Emergency Canada and an advisor to many emerging musicians seeking to put sustainability at the core of their work.

Kim holds numerous post-secondary qualifications, including a Honours Bachelors in Environmental Studies from York University, graduate courses in the Masters of Environmental Studies program at York and a Masters in Teaching from the University of Toronto. Kim completed the Greener Festival Assessor Training from Falmouth University in the UK and has worked with a number of Canadian festivals to develop climate plans.
